“In 2002, when I was sixteen, my best friend’s mother gave me my first camera (a Minolta XD-11).”

My First Camera.

“Over the next two years, I taught myself the process of photo development. I converted my grandmother’s guest bathroom into a darkroom, and, riding the spark of youthful creativity, I attempted my best to learn what constitutes a good photograph.”

“At the time, I had no idea photography could take me as far as it would. Looking back over these particular images now, I realize these are the years photography won me over.

Old School Selfie.

“This collection of images were all shot on 35mm film and developed in a lab, cut by hand, or drawn on a high school art desk.”
